As we get closer to our departure time, we are reminded of how we need to be bathed in prayer. There have been many twists and turns in the road, but “we like it that way!” Flexibility is the key to a good mission trip. We go in with an idea and God reminds us that He is in control. We need to remember that it is God’s trip and we are along for the ride.
With so many people entering Costa Rica to help with earthquake relief, the government is tightening the rules for what materials can come in and what foreign doctors can do in country. We need to be sensitive to the changing rules and patiently work with the government agencies. We need to remember that we are there to 1) do God’s will, 2) keep the Nationals needs above ours, 3) remember the needs of our team members, and 4) rest in God’s hands.
Pray for: open hearts, flexible spirit, team unity, and joy. We trust that God will make clear His plans for us in Costa Rica in His timing.
Hola! Costa Rica team! I have been thinking about you and praying for you since last night. Wondering how your evening went with departure, how your flights have gone so far. I'm praying that all has gone well with all details. Praying also, that God has prepared the people there and all medical details will fall into place. Know that you are loved and prayed for!!! Dios Le Bendiga! Pam Holbrook
